I beg to differ with you on the subject that top fini=shers in 100s burn out
early!
Champagne, 8,000+ miles and still going strong at 26 did many 100s and
finished most of them in the top to. Mesaud's Peeco 5,000+ finished all her
ioos in the top ten she is now in foal at 16. She even did a 100 on a
saturady and finished in the tt and then did 50 on sunday and finished tt.
Total riding tine for 150 was about 16 hours. She is only just 14 hands (if
she stretches) and weighs 750lbs before a ride. Arlene, her rider is 5'10''
tall and competes at FEI weight!!
Your generalization is bound to cause a serious misconception with those
riders who do not know the greats in endurance riding.
