My horse got BC on the LD, so the cinch and saddle combo obviously
worked well. I cannot recommend the suede for distance riding, though,
it abraded the skin badly on the back of my thighs, and the training
model has stirrups hung in the "chair seat" position. FWIW, we cantered
most of the distance.
-A couple of comments. I have both a leather endurance model, and
also a training and schooling model in suede. I have never had any
problem riding in the suede one-I do always ride in carousel tights.
Janeen is working on a new pad specifically for the SS, which looks
promising. She's hoping to have it done by convention.
-What kind of pad? Do you mean under the saddle? Skito make a n
equalizer pad specifically for the Sport Saddle. It is cut shaped
to the back, and is also the shape of the saddle. It is also cut
to be under the leather flaps at the bottom of the saddle. I have
3 skito pads for my saddles, and am really happy with them. They
are also wearing well. I am not sure how you could improve on
their pad!
