Ride A is offering $30,000 in cash money, divided among the top ten with $5,000
for first-to-finish. Ride B is offering a valuable prize (such as a saddle) to
EVERY FINISHER of a series of three rides of 50, 100 and 150 miles, regardless
of placing. While I would vote against the type of prizes offered at "ride A," I
am now planning my '97 schedule around the challenge of "ride B" -- because it
upholds the tradition of "to finish is to win." Both technically come under
choice "A", since no distinction is made between cash/merchandise or how it is
awarded. So ... how am I to vote?
