Hi everyone! I've been off line for awhile as my Mom died on New Years Day
after an extended bout with cancer. I got my love of horses from her. As a
teenager she was an exercise rider for the Belmont Race Track. My
grandfather had many different positions during his career with the NYC
Police department but his favorite and last position was as a Mounted
Police Officer. My Mom and Grandfather spent weekends riding (saddleseat) in
the park. My Grandfather rode a TW called On Parade, and my Mom a polo pony
whose name I've for gotten, who was known for taking off and jumping over
moving cars if he heard a policemans whistle. (remember policeman used to
direct traffic using their hands and whistles .....roadways wind through
Belmont Park) My Moms first marriage was to a man named Fator...whose
grandfather or father was some big jockey in NY during the 30's and 40's.
Well thanks for listening to my tale. I had promised way back to post this
info once I got it, but I have been overwhelmed. Tom Ivers had recommended
two books , I did a search through Barnes and Noble. they recommend
getting them through the publisher directly as they would have a 6wk
delivery. Per the publisher if you buy 10 or more of the same titile you
get 20% off . Here's the infor: 1) Nutrition Applied to injury
