We have been riding with these stirrups for the past 4 years.. they are
great.. as Tina and other have indicated.. and they are the lowest LOWEST
cost shock dissapating stirrup on the market.
Made from nylon. one piece no bolts. works for english or the wider western
leathers.
4 inch wide tread. they have a slight flex.. and they are slanted to the
OUTSIDE by about 2 degrees..this takes the stress off the knee.
stand on ground, then roll your ankle outside a a bit ..notice the knee, the
ouside of the joint.. it 'opens' ..most sore knees are on the outside of the
joint. I suspect this is because a normal stirrup -flat- causes the knee to
press in, pins the knee to the horse-saddle - this is bending the knee in the
wrong direction and loading up the outside of the knee joint with excessive
pressure. causes very sore knees and a increase use of advil or ?...
These stirrups correct this problem.
