I dearly love Teddy Lancaster but some time ago lamented to her that "Gosh
Darn You, every time you go to a ride, I guarantee you I spend big bucks".
EG, bought a sport saddle but needed a really tiny girth for the new little
mare RS MS Kari, only 13.3 hh, but who thinks she's a lot bigger. Teddy was
at the WC's. Bought a really tiny girth, only 22". Well, found we were on
the uppermost hole; so phoned Teddy for a 16" for the SS. Then,
inadvertently got my husband, the psytrist, interested in the SS by telling
him he wouldn't like it, (Freudian slip). Well, as far as he's concerned,
it's his & Princess's saddle now (just as I've made plans to breed her, he's
reclaiming the mare he swears I stole from him & planning to start his 6 yr
old mare in the SS this spring. ) Alright, already. Got my O/F Patriot cut
down to the smallest size panels which of course work great on little Kari,
but didn't have a small enough girth. Hey Teddy I need another girth! Then,
of course I've borrowed a Cloud nine pad from a dear friend to finish out
this season . Got to have one! But also might need one for the Patriot! {g}
Still don't have the SS size I really need. {EEK} But also need pony sized
stuff, like teensy leg wraps & something shorter than 10' long polo wraps
(exasperation) Also if I stick with the Patriot, really do need a slim line
Cloud Nine pad. Am borrowing the rest of the pony sized stuff from my good
neighbor Linda who specialized in Arab/Welsh crosses. Since I like stuff so
much, I bought out a friend who had so much stuff it was a sin! who was
quitting endurance & horses altogether, which is why I've been advertising so
much stuff on this list-serve. Last but not least, Linda gave me three huge
boxes of old Arabian Horse World magazines on Sires of Significance, etc, &
being compulsive, must go thru each by each lest I miss something
needed in future. AARRGGHH. Am truly drowning in stuff & heavy rain in SW
