Hi:

I ride in all 4 seasons and find unless it is -40F deerskin gloves with a
removable wool liner are the best. They are approximately $40 but can be
worn with or without the liners. The gloves can be rained on, gotten wet
because of snow and survive for years. Most of all your hands stay dry and
warm and you can feel the reins almost like bare skin. They get a little
stiff after being wet but usually putting your hands in and working them
loosens them up or if really desperate a bit of neatsfoot oil does the trick.
Bye for now.
