I hope this ends up in the right place! I tried to reply about riding with ligh
ts and never saw it on the digest. If someone received it as a personal reply i
t wasn't meant to be one! Monte & I resolved the pad problem by poking a couple
small holes in the pad even with your front D-rings and lacing a shoestring th
rough & tie it to the D. Tie it good & tight. I recently had mine come untied w
hile riding in a pretty large group. I was too embarressed to ask everybody to
stop and had to ride holding the string tight till we got to water! Not fun.
When I manage a ride I always have an ambulance trailer too. So many large trai
lers now couln't even get into many vetchecks. When Monte & I both ride, we don
't have a crew to bring a trailer for us anyway.I try to mark spots on the trai
l with lettered plates that are easy to get to with a trailer. If a rider think
s they might have a problem they can stay there & send word to camp with the ne
xt rider & we'll know exactly where they are.nancy.
