In fairness to the OD, whose terribly marked (and maybe vandalized) trail started this thread, everyone did have an excellent USGS map in his or her rider packet, with the trails clearly marked in red. Some people didnšt carry theirs, others lost them, and others (like me!) forgot about them when we needed them. However, using that map would certainly have alleviated most of the problems -- particularly at the unmarked intersections. Maps arenšt substitutes for clearly marked trails, but they can help -- if you have them with you and remember to use them!
