15 min of riding those hills each day for the last week - no change
in the horse except frustration! We haven't even finished what he
considers a normal "warm up" and he's put back in the barn. The vet
came out yesterday and was surprised that the horse wasn't tired,
back sore, etc. from the <work> he's doing.
WHAT DOES HE THINK WE NORMALLY DO? When we explained
again our usual riding routine (15-30 miles 2-3 times/week), he blushed and
suggested we bring the horse to a local facility to swim him at their next
available opening. It's rather costly, quite a drive to get there, & I'm not sure
we are really solving the problem of joint pain. I think that it is second
opinion time.
Has anyone ever worked their horse in an equine swimming facility?
