Helen from the list suggested I call her, and Stacey mentioned that she'd
retrained several tough horses that she knew of, so I figured it was
worth a try. I don't want to bore you with the details, but this horse
was so tense and tight through the shoulders that he was really hard
to ride. He wasn't bad at all, just had major insecurity problems.
He jigged, spooked, froze and jumped around... a real tough horse to
enjoy riding.
The change has been amazing. I can ride him in a rope halter and lead,
have other horses trot ahead and disappear and still have a *real* walk.
His canter and trot are now really smooth and nice. He's a lot braver too.
This Parelli/ Natural Horsemanship stuff is also a lot of fun.
