John is a 13 year old Thoroughbred gelding and has been a pleasure to ride
endurance. He is 16'2" with a very smooth, ground-eating trot, and he loves
the rides. His resting pulse is 28 and he comes down fast!
Some of the stuff he has accomplished include back to back BCs on the last
ride I rode him on: Cold Turkey I and II in Boise, ID in 1994. (I got injured
in a car wreck). 11th overall on the Outlaw Trail, 1994. A 9 hr and 20 min
100 miler (3rd) at Pawnee Grasslands and 8th at Big Pine 100 in 1993 and 40th
on the Tevis that year. He only has 750 miles on him with several wins and
BCs.
Getting a little stiff in the front end so he needs to take it easier on the
downhills. A real gentleman to ride, he is very responsive to a light touch.
