Hi Tina and all! We go the blue tarp route. We fasten it to the far
side of the trailer with bungie cords, run it over the top of the trailer,
and use telescoping poles at the corners. If you pull the cords tight,
it will hold the tarp tight even in a thunderstorm. If you're rusty
on your knots, find a Boy Scout or a good book, because that's what makes
the difference. Good luck!
