Yes, I've seen wolf that are located further foreward than their usual
location of directly before the first molars.
I have a collection of horse skulls that I use in teaching how to "age" a
horse by looking at the teeth (and also to show the effect of placement of
different types of bits in differently conformed jaws. I have one skull
with one wolf tooth forward.
When Bob Shugart first started "vetting" horses for me about 20 years ago,
he took one look at all the skulls on the shelf in my "med" room, and said,
"Gee, Lari, what vet did you USED to use???"
