You can use any kind of riding/biking tights and ADD half chaps to them. The
chaps will protect your leg from the branches.  I also use them when it is
real cold, it helps keep your legs warm.  Another type of tights I just
recently purchased are made of polar fleese from State Line.  They keep you
very warm and they also stop the wind.
