I just bady clipped my daughter's grade mare. She looks bald right now, but
she sweats badly at this time of year, her hair was probably 1 1/2 " long and
very thick. We blanket at night, we are also in So Cal and it was in the
80's over the weekend. We have 2-3 more rides before this mare will
otherwise completely shed out. I'll let you know if this was a good idea or
not later. I am going to partially clip my mare this week. She is the next
woolie-est on the place. The rest of the horses have a much smother winter
coat.
