I often wondered about the safety of letting a horse loose in a trailer
without dividers. I would think the horse would be safer with dividers
because they provide side support (whether slant or straight load) around
turns, over rough terrain, or in the event of a quick stop or a defensive
swerve. I'd be afraid of a horse being thrown down and injured worse without
dividers for support.
Granted, the horse may be initially happier with more room - but is he/she
safer?
Does anyone have thoughts or experience on this subject?
