Re Judy Long's helpful piece on shoes, etc., I have a pair of Miller's
sneakers
that I like very much. In the winter and muddy conditions - of which
there are a lot, red clay style, in Virginia - I put rubbers over my
riding sneakers/shoes.
I do this with a light weight pr of leather high top shoes also.
It's easy to keep the rubbers clean and they are warm in winter. I
particularly like the riding sneakers in the winter because they have
more room in the toes than my leather shoes and can therefore accommodate
warmer socks and wriggle-room for toes.
Thank you Judy, et al.
