We just went through a stint where we (3 of us)
fed our 5 horses Natural Glo because we were
unable to get generic rice bran. We fed 1 bag.
We fed 1/2 the amount of the Natural Glo than
we feed of the brown bag generic, but the generic
is 1/3 the price.
Our younger horses (4 of them) all showed a
significant increase in spooking and jumping.
It made my TB much too hot. The generic
rice bran does not have this affect, but all
the positives are there (weight gain, great
coats, better all around healty appearance).
The oldest horse (22) did fine on it, but
showed no improvements in weight or coat
that we don't get just feeding the generic
rice bran.
Natural Glo just didn't work for us and it
was not worth it.

If your horses are doing well, then why fix
what ain't broke? We started playing with
the feed because we had a bunch of horses
who drop weight and are not-so-easy keepers.
I would recomend you try rice bran in your
feeding schedule. We also feed oats and
a 14% complete alfalfa based pellet. My
horse cannot handle Omalene 200 but my
friends both use Omalene and Equine Senior
(Athlete).
Good luck and let us know what you find!

ps... Magnum's birthday used to be on Jan 1st,
like all racehorses, but now that he's an
endurance horse he gets to celebrate on the
REAL day... Jan 23rd!
