[endurance] A new way to hobble horses?

I was wondering the same thing. It looks to me like the horse, while
grazing, could step sideways with his other leg and step onto or over
the lead rope. Also, what if the horse were to pull back - and maybe
injure it's neck/spine and maybe go over backwards (believe me, if
there's a way...one of my horses would find it!). Just a thought too
- the way my horse is able to canter rounded with his head down, I
bet he could move along pretty good in this setup!

Heck, I remember when we hobble broke one of my horses - he stood
there for several minutes staring at us - giving us the evil eye!
Then, when he did move he started taking baby steps, and within a
minute or two he was hopping around the arena faster than any human
could run! It worked though, now if he starts to paw when tied to
the trailer I just lay the hobbles out in front of him and he stops!
Needless to say, he doesn't paw anymore.
