Re: [RC] LD and 50 Mile Horses - Differences? - Laney HumphreyI once owned a horse that was a better LDer than a 50 miler. His problem was that he loved to go fast but just couldn't do it for 50 miles. He'd poop out at about 25 if allowed to go as fast as he wanted to. He and I fought our way through many 50s, including some multi-days. Maybe I just wasn't the right rider for him but I got tired of having my arms pulled out of their sockets fighting to make him go slow enough to last for the entire 50 miles. I sold him to someone who also loved to go fast and loved LDs. Perfect match!Laney rides2far@xxxxxxxx wrote: This is a retry post.
