[RC] Chaffhaye - Bruce Weary

I have used Chaffhaye extensively in the recent past. It is an excellent product, and has many advantages over dry hay. The moisture
content is around 50%, so half of every bite is water. Though it is alfalfa, it is only around 9% protein, due to the dilution of the natural
moisture content. I have found all the claims made on their website to be true, and it is convenient to feed. The horses really like it, but
will not gorge themselves on it. I used it in conjunction with grass hay. My horses wouldn't eat it at a ride, for some reason, but
preferred grass hay or alfalfa instead. I did considerable research on it before using it, and have fed several tons of it over the last three years.
It is a little pricier than hay, so I am not feeding now, but have been thinking I would get some and keep it on hand for an occasional feeding.
They also make a grass version, which isn't as favored by my horses, but always gets cleaned up eventually. It has a very long shelf life
as long as the bag isn't punctured. Good stuff. FWIW, Bruce Weary
