[RC] 2009 Presidents Cup - Loop 1 - Merri Meldei just came in from Loop 2 - OHMIGOD the driving is crazy!!!
the American horses were looking good, maybe about 30 minutes behind the leaders, who are going 25-26 kph they were 53rd and 55th off the first loop, averaging 19 kmh. both horses were into the vet gate under 3 minutes after they arrived. the leaders on the first loop were Omair Hussain Al Bloushi on Silversprings Kabir Arwa (26.10 kph) and Shaikh Hamdan Al Maktom on Wadhnan (25.96 kph) and Yousef Al Bloushi on Charlandre El Sharif (who is the world record holder for 160 km at 6:28:28). the aussies are looking good also, around mid-pack. the start list is quite a bit different from last night... maybe it's on the official UAE website now. here's our page http://www.endurance.net/international/UAE/2009PresidentsCup/ -- www.endurance.net/merri www.TheEquestrianVagabond.com
