[RC] Eastern Mojave Scenic Weather Update - KchatonThe weather report has been changing daily - as has the weather for Mountain Pass, CA! It's been continuing to improve and currently looks to be pretty nice for the ride Saturday - Sunday - Monday. Here is the current forecast:Saturday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Sunday...Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of rain. Highs in the mid 60s. Presidents Day...Partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of rain. Highs in the lower 60s. Here is the link, it's the NOAA weather site: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?zoneid=CAZ524&zflg=1 Several riders have cancelled thinking the weather is going to be bad so I just wanted to get the word out that the weather forecast is quite a bit different than it was a day or two ago. Today was also forecasted to rain and it pretty much cleared up. We have been trail marking under beautiful blue skies and enjoying the scenery getting a lot of sun. The snow that came earlier this week has made the landscape here beautiful and so breathtaking. It has also really helped pack the sand down so it's nice and firm and just perfect. The best part is that there are no snakes :). Here are some photos from yesterday, though by Saturday the snow will probably be all gone. Today was also nice but I haven't done anything with the photos yet. http://enduranceridestuff.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/dscf7850-medium.jpg http://enduranceridestuff.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/dscf7859-medium.jpg Hope you can make it!
