FW: [RC] Injured Horseman lucky to be alive! - Mike Sherrell


The rider is too young to die, but if he would describe himself as a
horseman, in another 25 years it might be the most satisfactory thing.

Some say that when Genghis Khan got old, he fell off his horse more than
once. His advisors tried to get him to stop riding, but he would not, and
another fall killed him.

But that was a world with no fences, no pavement and no cars.

It's a big question, what do we do when there is no cell service?


Same thing we used to do before cell service:  tell someone (family member,
park ranger station, friend, etc)  where you are going, what route you will
take, and when you will arrive home or will call to say you have returned
safely.  And stick to the schedule and route.  (I used to leave the same
info taped to my trailer at the trailhead).
