 Okay, Chrystal, I'll describe it just this once, but you have to 
promise to keep it a secret.

  To determine if someone is indeed "one of us," ask them to make two 
fists, and put their hands together with knuckles up. Then ask them to 
clear their throat three times, stamping their left foot after each 
throat clearing. Then ask, "Are you having trouble starting your scooter?" 
  If they look puzzled, and are wearing a collared shirt, they are 
probably part of the evil FEI conspiracy.
  If they laugh, they are probably just a casual rider and a candidate 
for AERC membership, if not already one.
