Just the letters FEI is waaay better than mentioning dogs/guns in camp :-) ;-) I was actually planning on contacting someone on the BOD however just thought would *mention* the conversation here to see if anyone else had heard anything,and was thinking maybe I could kill two birds with one stone and get Bruce to answer..... mission accomplished.:-) :-) truly I have a whole lot of faith in AERC members and do not think we are headed for an FEI like sport.:-) As for suing.cheating etc............ I have never been to a ride where I did not have fun, where people shook my hand and said congratulations, did I need any help ?even when I came in hours after the winners( which would be most rides :-)))) . I think that the sport of endurance/backyard horse owners are all alive and well, at least wherever I go they are!!!:-) I love the people in this sport, friendly,helpful and tough!! Bruce, if you describe the secret handshake on RC could it still be considered a secret.??What if we all took an oath to keep it a secret??? Wait ......then how would we know when to use it????:-)That would just be so much more fun than shirts with collars!:-) Chrystal
Hi Chrystal-- As you may know, I sit on the Board of Directors, the HWC and the Vet Committee. I know of no such trend in shaping our rules to match the FEI.
