Re: [RC] 50 + 100 mile completions list - stephanie teeterpretty amazing isn't it! We're staying with our friends Kevin and Rusty for the winter in Arizona. Rusty just added a 100 mile distance to his ride the end of February... I'm tempted! It's been a while since I've done a 100 w/o the FEI-race mentality, and I've forgotten what a cool thing it can be - to be out on the trail all day, and ride while the night falls, and not fret about the competition or the FEI qualification, or the clock. just ride. My main horse (Jaziret) is 18 now - still sound, still seems to enjoy the work, ... just maybe!Steph (and we just noticed that there will be a full moon that night... I'm running out of excuses :) On Dec 11, 2009, at 11:32 AM, Dawn Carrie wrote: I can only remove my helmet and bow my head in a show of respect and awe for these folks. These are some truly impressive accomplishments. 50 100-milers...100 100-milers...I am still trying to wrap my mind around the idea. With a mere 3 100s under my belt, these accomplishments loom huge in my mind. Congratulations to all of these riders. Looking at this list, I know that most are still out there doing 100s. And those who are not, would be if they could. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
