[RC] horse in NE Ks to rehome - Elyse CarrenoHello All-
?
Hope this doesn't violate the no-advertising rule of Ridecamp, but as it is a rehoming situation I hope I won't get the wrath rained down upon me! A barn buddy of mine who is getting into endurance is looking to rehome her 6 year old arabian mare at this time.?Due to suspensory injury she isn't suitable for competative riding, but would make a great addition to a breeding program and can still do?light riding. (Gosh-darn! The Appendix eventer turned out to be her endurance horse!) She has been wrestling with this decision for some time, but as she is soon to go to vet school and her husband is deployed at this time, she feels it is in the best interests of the family to?have just one horse.

Daizy (AM Daizy Duke AHR*603566)?is a 15.1 hand, 6 year old?mare who started her career in the show ring doing sport horse in hand (quite a few wins there?I believe)?and went on to do?hunter under saddle ?(I think? I can't remember the last time I saw the inside of a ring so...)?Both of her parents and her siblings are still competing, and are all champions in sport horse in hand.?Her current owner has had her since she was 14 months old, and she has done jumping, dressage, trails etc. Two years ago she?chronic on and off?lameness that turned out to be a suspensory injury. She was treated with PRP, shockwave therapy, and stall rest but never fully recovered. She has been on pasture board for almost a year now, with occasional light riding and?has had?no deterioration in her condition. Daizy is Sweepstakes, and has also been inspected by the American Warmblood Society and is Red Preferred Certified by them. This mare has a gentle sociable personality, and is wonderful to be around. She is great with children (all of the owner's children have been on her-the younger ones?since before they could walk!)

In terms of any rehoming fee, I'll let you discuss that directly with the owner. I know that what is important to her is that this mare find a wonderful home-she just doesn't want anyone to pick up a freebie horse that doesn't want to maintain her. Esty has said that if at any time the new owners decided they didn't have a place for her any more, she'd come right back to pick her up.

I have pictures of her, so if you'd like to see them, just shoot me an e-mail and I'll send them to you. The owner's e-mail is estymolina at hotmail dot com
