Re: [RC] leg wrap survey - Maggie MieskeLiniment for just in case they're sore....I do the same for myself. :) Prefer to wrap only in the case of injury. And even then, it depends on the injury. Many endurance riders here wrap legs for the endurance ride the way they do jumpers for jumping. The problem was that they got SOAKING wet and weighed a LOT. When someone complained to us that their horse was forging and must be getting tired, and that maybe she should pull, we suggested she take the wraps off and try to finish. She finished with a strong horse...maybe it was good conditioning for the horse's legs. When we asked WHY she did it (and others later), the answer is always "because everyone else does." :) Maggie

I typically don't use any wraps, but then wonder if I should when I see others doing so! So if you don't mind sharing - what do you folks do for post-ride leg care? ice? poultice? linament? wrap, no wrap? thanks - I'm looking forward to the responses- Steph =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
