[RC] looking for euthenasia alternatives - Jessica Raines
I have a 13 yo Morab mare that I need to get rid of, I have
tried unsuccessfully to find her a new home for quite awhile now. She is
physically very sound and well built, excellent bloodlines but is a very high
strung mare and not broke to saddle. I need to do something with her in the
next month or so and am turning to ridecamp for possible alternatives to
euthanizing her. If anyone wants to give her a home she is located in lower
Michigan, she is registered, 15.1-15.2 hands and built for a hw rider. My only
stipulation is you have to come meet her or wait 30 days to receive her papers
to be sure it will work out. I really don’t want to have her put down
because she is a good mare and has a lot of potential in the right hands
however I am getting to the point where I can’t keep her any longer. I am
open to alternatives where at least her death would mean something, maybe
medical research or something like that, I am sure this will be a touchy
