Re: [RC] Lake Carl Blackwell trail - Barbara McCrary

Having had a lot of experience around bulldozers, I find it hard to believe anyone would have used one on a horse trail.  Those things create a swath 12 feet wide...at least the ones that ran all over our ranch cutting fire breaks in August did.  Of course, some dozers have narrower blades than 12', but still, I doubt anyone would have used one to widen a trail.  The cleats on the tracks tear up the ground badly, too.  A trail machine, maybe? Or a very small dozer?  Or a tractor with a blade?

I said they bulldozed it but that does not mean that the trail is still not beautiful! The trail that rides right along the lake is still absolutely amazing it is just wider so that you do not hit your knees! The trails at this time of the year had amazing scenery with all the fall leaves coming off the trees and LOTS of deer!
