Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

I have a friend who is facing hip replacement surgery.  She was all set to do her first LD this summer till her hip froze up.  She has a Rocky Mountain mare, so she is ahead of the game in that respect.  But she called and asked me to find stories of riders who continue to enjoy riding after hip replacement.  I'll be doing a RC search, but welcome any emails I can pass along to her.

Is there anything in particular she needs to ask her doctor about?  Such as are some replacements or surgical techniques better for riding than others?
