With the trials being so treacherous with hock deep mud in places, I just am having a really hard time getting my head around how fast riders went. Do you just kind hope for the best and peddle to the metal? At least someone had the horses best interests in mind by shortening it to 75 miles. Are you considered a wus if you pull your horse early in the ride because the trails are so treacherous?
