[RC] Grand Canyon XP Day 3 - stevesphoto@xxxxxxxxxxWoke up to clear, cold morning. Not as much frost this morning as yesterday and a degree or two warmer, or so it seemed. 36 riders took the trail at 7:30 headed out on the Lookout Canyon trail. I went ahead to look for a place to shoot and ended up riding most all of the Lookout trail. It follows a real pretty canyon with a slight down grade. The canyon is forested on both sides with aspen groves in many places. After a short climb out the trail followed Forest Road 22 back towards the Burnt Corral Rim road. The trail to this point is mostly single track and cow trails following the forest road.The photos came out great, I chose a spot next to the road with an aspen stand for the back ground, sure made for some "bright" photos. The top ten riders are in so here is the list: Crockett Dumas Cynthia Ariosa (sp) Darla Wright Doug Reynaud Corry Clinton Alan Horn Debra Bosco Debra Breshers Heather Van Fossen Forest Tancer The vet check crew just arrived and all of the riders have cleared the vet check, no pulls so far. Yesterday had 37/38 riders complete (can't remember the number for sure,old age). None of the pulls required treatment and some were rider opting out. The weather continues to get better each day, today it is around 65 degrees with a slight breeze, just ride for riding so Cindy tells me.....
