#1- If it was a matter of picking between 2 rides the same distance from home on a given weekend I might be swayed by the history of completion awards. Top 10 etc aren't a consideration for me since I am at best a middle of the packer.
#2- My guess is that buckles would be to expensive for completion awards. Plus how many would you order? Can't count on everybody entering early and couldn't afford to order them for all the maybes.
#3- I love t shirts. Every time I put one on I get memories of the ride. I could see jackets for top ten
I think if I were to put on a ride I would limit completion awards to those that entered by a certain cutoff date. At the VA Highlands Challenge only around 30 riders were entered by a resonable date ot order t shirts and over 100 people showed up. RM's don't own crystal balls.
