It is also important to start preparing for winter before it gets here. I started a couple of months ago, getting all the winter blankets for the horses cleaned and repaired, and making sure that I had my clothes in good shape. Now I need to fix that leak in my LQ that I found the hard way at the Cuyama ride last year.  lol

Eeeeww..I hate winter or what passes for winter in Central California.  My favorite day of the year is when we spring forward into daylight savings time every year.  I hate the day we fall back.  My arthritis does not like winter either..........mb

Yes, but a whole new time of year will be here.

The wonderful cool days of fall and the beautiful mountain storms with winter moving in. I love winter here in the mountains!

I live in the perfect location...as I get the great winter weather, but for riding I can go off the mountain and train in Bakersfield, where it is usually nice enough to get in a good training ride.  :)

Well my friends, today is the Autumnal Equinox.  Equal time today for night and daylight hours. 

 

Sadly, it's all downhill from here. <g>  The days are going to be getting shorter for a while.  We're losin' daylight!  :)
