The solar panel will produce enough to keep them charged, but unless it has a proper controller it will slowly overcharge over the winter and kill the batteries.For long term, lead acid batteries need special chargers. A couple of brands of 110v ones (Battery Maintainer is one brand.) are available. I do not know if the same thing is available for solar panels. Ed.
