Re: [RC] spooking + screaming - Donna O'GaraI find that when my mare spooks I yell Whoa at her. Unfortunately I only do that when she spooks so she's learned to associate that with being scared, and frequently with me falling off. So it's very counter-productive. I'm learning to quiet down my whoas a bit, but I finally figured out I should sometimes whoa at her loudly when she's well under control so she can get used to hearing me yell. As soon as I get around to it I'll start having loud whoa lessons with her.
