Hi all ridecamp night owls. Dawn Simas would sure appreciate prayers (as well as others in our area) for safety and that her home would be safe in this auburn fire. She had to be evacuated. All animals are safe at a fellow riders house in GV thankfully. Got them all out.
I believe Dawn went back to the house though and has asked for prayers. Please Pray to keep her and her fellow neighbors as well as so many others, AND our firefighters safe and that they'd fully contain this fire by morning. They are saying tuesday...but tomorrow would be even better. Miracles do happen...
It was really awful for so many today. Hug your family and your animals and your friends/neighbors too...extra tonight. They are what truly matters most..make sure you thank your brave firefighters too. They put their lives on the line for all of us and what we love.
People really need to take clearing their yards, and defensible space very seriously...many do, but then their neighbors may not. It was neighbors that didn't care to clean their yard that caused my sister-in-law to lose her home last year in Oroville...even though her place was immaculately kept.
This sort of thing needs to be a reminder to think of others safety as well as ourselves....in that respect.
