[RC] Us Rider's Hitch Up Magazine - Overdrive - shermanTitle: MessageMaybe it depends on
what you are trying to save money and wear on...your brakes, your transmission,
your engine or your fuel.
I use my OD only on
flat ground and slight downgrades where the speed isn't going to build up
whenever I'm hauling, but I only have a 2H slant, pretty lightweight for my
Dodge 2500.

In this month/quarter's Hitch Up magazine it says in the fuel economy article: "Use Overdrive. Overdrive typically causes the engine speed to decrease. This saves fuel and reduces engine wear." Which is right? .
