I'm going to be starting a new horse in a year or so - she might have a 100 in her. However, with the way the rides have evolved - I have little interest. I like out checks. I like to go places. I like the feeling of moving on down the trail. The 100 is about addressing a challenge worth do and meeting that challenge. That is probably why a lot of riders only do one or two 100's. They met the challenge, slew some demon, etc. and that's enough for them.>Truman - I am with you on this! I don't usually make "Me too" posts, but count me in this group too. It's one of the reasons that the Big Horn 100 is my favorite ride of all. I'd much rather have a single loop or even a point-to-point for a 50 mile ride as well. I think it's tough on the horses as much as the riders when a ride repeats a lot of trail, or goes out of base camp several times. -- Joe Long aka ChipRider jlong@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
