RE: [RC] Helmet Search - adam and jannelle

Most bike crashes occur with the biker going over the handle bars so bike
helmets are beefier in front.  More horse accidents end up with the rider
smacking the back of the head so the horse helmet is beefier in back.  Of
course, that's not to say there's not some of everything but I believe they
are designed more for the "typical" injuries from the particular sport.  And
what Angie is saying supports this, as well.

Why are the bike helmets NOT safe for us? I saw all the crashes in the
Tour de
France, no heads were bashed at great speeds and hard roads. .

Bikes don't kick at what falls off of them. From what I understand ours
come down lower to protect from blows from the hoof.
