Re: [RC] CA rattlers - Barbara McCraryI was riding down near Ridgecrest with Jackie Bumgardner a number of years ago and we came out of a trail in the brush onto a wider dirt road. Across the road was a Mojave Green lying under a bush. It was impressive. I took my cue from Jackie, who lives there, and she didn't appear scared so I wasn't either. The horse didn't appear scared, either, but I certainly was glad I wasn't on foot and had stumbled upon him. The first is they have much more neurotoxins in there venom that any other viper. The only other snake in the US that packs that degree of neurotoxin is the coral snake. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
