Whine!!!  :)  It's not fair to have to compete with people who don't have to work AND who live in Arizona.  John, can't we "handicap" this event!  Just kidding...

For you newbies (and everyone else, too), this really is a fun way to be a part of the endurance community and to track your conditioning or pleasure rides and share with others.  It's also fun to check out the trails other folks use and look at their terrain on the maps on Motion Based.  While it may "seem" intimidating, it really isn't hard and John is wonderful about helping you get set up and going.  BTW, this is the only time I really "log" my miles of riding.  At this same time of year, I'm also signed up for a local winter exercise contest with our Rec Center (totally an honor system where you log all your exercise and get points toward winning prizes), so the VV rides fit right in with what I'm doing here at home.  Cindy
