[RC] Need stopover place for horses in San Antonio, Texas - Jacqueline Davis
Hey,
I'm a fairly new member of AERC and just got my first endurance horse. I have to have her ready for a ride in Tennessee in early September. I'm a military member and haven't been home for a vacation in over a year. I have some time off coming up at the end of July and will be going home to San Antonio, Texas for up to a few weeks.
I need to bring my horses with me as I cannot afford to take that much time off of their training (my new one is my endurance horse, one horse is a competitive jumper and the other horse is in training just to not be a jerk...bad things happen when he has 2 weeks off..ha). I checked into boarding places around the area and they are all outrageous prices, really far away from my family's house and have no trails. I can't afford to board them because I still have to pay for their board where I live while I'm gone...can anyone help me out? I have a niece and nephew as well that love to ride them and are begging me to bring them. My niece wants me to bring them as her birthday present...ha. And my parents have not gotten to see them because my dad is injured and cannot travel and my mom has been taking care of him.
My parents live in the Castle Wood Forest neighborhood which is near Huebner and NW Military HWY (and near Lock Hill Selma Road). This is in between Clark and Churchhill High Schools. The nearest major intersection is 1604 and I-10 on the northeast side of the city.
Can anyone help me out? I am a responsible person and will take care of them everyday. Also I can help out around your place with barn work or exercising/training your horses. Even if you don't have room for all three horses...I can bring just my endurance horse...she is the most important one right now. Please let me know. I really want to bring them with me. Thanks for reading!
Also, does anyone know of any good trails that I can ride near San Antonio?
