I have to admit that greys are hard to keep
clean. One of our best grey horses I nicknamed Pigpen, because he loved to
roll in the mud. I'm sure colored horses do, too, but it doesn't show as
much. I prefer bays, myself. The color just grabs me, almost
emotionally. But a good horse is a good horse. As for quality and
performance, I stand on my statement...several of our best horses were
greys.
I am sure there are some very nice gray horses
out there. I just won't own a gray. Just a personal preference.
