Most of us are lucky to have
family who adore riding as much as we do and cherish all the completion prizes
we have amassed. I assume that when we leave this earth there will be people we
leave behind that will cherish our buckles, cups, t?s and the like from all of
our ride accomplishments. But what happens when you don?t have anyone who thinks
all of these things are nothing more than collectors of
dust?
Two
suggestions: 1) Unofficially "adopt" a junior who would love to follow in
your footsteps and make arrangements to leave everything to her/him. 2)
Arrange for all your "crap" (including tack) to be donated to areas that have
had major barn fires and lost everything, or to youth groups which would value
your treasures. We have done that with unneeded tack in the
past. This has given me something to think about because I don't have
anyone who would like my stuff either.
