[RC] Bennett Hills Ride -location change - Steph TeeterThe Bennett Hills ride out of Gooding, Idaho is being moved to Oreana (Teeter Ranch). The base camp out of Gooding is too wet from all the spring rains, and Lynn is willing to move the ride to the desert.You'll be riding up to Toy Mountain on Saturday (June 27). Info will be posted at http://www.endurance.net/oreana/ToyMountain.html - directions to basecamp and a trail map and start times. The ride entry form will be the same that you got from Lynn (I'll publish a downloadable copy on this website also). It is BEAUTIFUL up there right now!! Green and lush and plenty of wildflowers still in bloom. Lots of natural water on the trail. It's also rocky in places so be prepared. 50 milers will ride an out-and-back trail - along the base of the mountains to a vetcheck on Triangle Road, and then up and around Toy Mountain to Bachman Grade summit, then returning on the same trail. LD's will drive to the vetcheck on Triangle Rd (you can drive directly to the vetcheck on Saturday if you don't want to camp in Oreana Friday night) - and then ride the trail around Toy Mountain. You will return to the vetcheck for the finish. Potluck dinner and awards at base camp in Oreana Saturday evening. Sunday (June 28 - Day 2) is tentative at this point. IMPORTANT: We need to know how many riders are actually interested in a 2nd day to know if it's worth having a second day. woohoo!
