my pony walked by the bear family totally unconcerned &  mama bear watched 
us quietly.

Although one friend did have a long walk home after meeting a bear on trail, 
our horses seem to be very unconcerned about the occassional bear we 
encounter.  My gelding had a tough time with squirrels for a couple of 
seasons though.

And the sqealing baby pigs who popped out of the brush at the Dust Devils 
endurance ride got the attention of a few horses.
